Dear friends and fellow European Christians,
Mahatma Gandhi, the pre-eminent political leader of India wrote an article about the political culture in 1925. His thoughts include seven social "sins" which we just re-publish without any comment. It seems as European Christians living in the public sphere of 2011 we can learn a lot from it for our coherent behaviour and responsibility.
Let us consider these words and quote them in our contributions to the political and social life!
Thank you for standing up for a Christian Europe and for praying with us!

Seven social sins
(by Mahatma Ghandi, 1925)
Politics without principles
Wealth without work
Pleasure without conscience
Knowledge without character
Commerce without morality
Science without humanity
Worship without sacrifice
The article was published in Young India (22 October 1925); Collected Works of Mahatma Gandhi Vol. 33 (PDF) p. 135
